Voice is not something you invent — it is something you stop suppressing. Most people who feel they lack a writing voice are simply trying too hard to sound like someone else.

The quickest path to your own voice is to write the way you explain things to a friend: directly, without jargon, without hedging every sentence. Read it back. Does it sound like you? If not, cut the parts that don't.

Over time, patterns emerge. Certain words recur. Certain sentence structures feel natural. That accumulation is your voice.
